What is your number one challenge right now?

USE JANUARY’S CREATIVE HOLIDAYS TO INSPIRE YOUR RESIDENT EVENTS

One of our favorite resident event hacks is to use upcoming creative holidays to inspire your next event. Not only does this give you a starting point, but it also allows your apartment community to align with trending topics online. As you promote your event on social media, you can use the hashtags for these holidays or use them as an opportunity to connect with surrounding businesses that are associated with these holidays.

For example, for National Bagel Day you could partner with a local deli to host an event at your community. Then on social media, you can tag them and they can tag you, helping you expand your following online.

Now seriously, let’s get to those ideas!

1. Snowman Soup

Who says something simple like hot chocolate can't make an impact? We're here to show you that something as cheap and easy as hot cocoa can be decadent. It's all about how you present it.

Crinkle Paper

2. Book Club

The best resident retention strategy is to make your apartment feel like a community and the key to that is bringing people together.

Encourage your residents to start a book club and you’ll provide the refreshments. You can even use this as an opportunity to build a library amenity.

3. Concession Stand

Go all out with this easy resident event theme and not break the bank. All we ever wanted as a kid was to raid the pantry without judgment from our parents. This is that event!

Buy all the snacks and set up the ultimate bar for your residents to grab to go. If you want more event ideas just like this, check out our 25 resident event e-book.

4. Spa Night

The new year is a great time to level up every aspect of your residents' lifestyle and your apartment can be at the center of their personal success.

Host a spa night resident event to encourage residents to focus on using your apartment features like their beautiful bathrooms with showers or tubs to relax and recharge.

5. Pie Bar

Anyway you slice it, this resident event will be a hit! Show your apartment residents how sweet it is at your community with a pie bar.

Enjoy their pie with their neighbors, grab it to-go, or you can personally deliver it to their door. Inside the magazine, you’ll find everything you need to print it to life for a January resident event.

6. Hydration Station

Help residents to be "up in the gym workin' on their fitness," as Fergie would say. Yes, we are making water GLAMOROUS by adding some fruits or cucumber slices to it.

Pair this with any fitness resident event or just have some fancy water in your apartment fitness center or leasing office.
