EVENT IDEA #1:FUR FEST
Pet-friendly communities are in high demand, so why not make yours stand out? Give residents the perfect chance to show off their furry friends while creating share-worthy social media moments. Stock up on treats and toys for pets—and don’t forget snacks and drinks for their humans to keep everyone mingling! If the weather’s great, take the fun outside to your pet park and go all out with a pet-friendly bash, complete with a photo booth for adorable pet pics!
EVENT #2: GRAB & GO YAPPY HOUR
Set up a designated pick-up station where residents can swing by and grab a goodie bag filled with pet treats, toys, and other fun surprises for their furry friends. This hassle-free event is a great way to show appreciation for pet owners while keeping things simple and budget-friendly.
Want to make it extra special? Add a selfie station with a cute pet-themed backdrop so residents can snap pics and share their love for your pet-friendly community on social media! You can also include seasonal or themed goodies (think pumpkin-flavored treats in the fall or cooling bandanas for summer).
A small gesture like this goes a long way in keeping your residents (and their pets!) happy while reinforcing your community’s pet-friendly reputation.
This cart from Amazon is a fan-favorite for all sorts of Grab and Go community events!
EVENT #3: GO VIRTUAL PET PARADE
Bring your community together online! Invite residents to submit photos or videos of their pets for a Virtual Pet Parade, featuring categories like Best Dressed, Silliest Pose, or Most Talented. Showcase entries on social media, in a community album, or a live virtual event!
Boost engagement with prizes, a custom hashtag, and a virtual pet-owner meet-up. It’s a fun, low-cost way to celebrate furry residents and highlight your pet-friendly community!

CREATIVE HOLIDAYS IN APRIL
Some fun dates are happening in April. So you've got April Fool's Day, National Walking Day, National Burrito Day, Handmade Day, Beer Day, World Health Day, Siblings Day, National Pet Day, Grilled Cheese Day, Scrabble Day, Gardening Day, World Art Day, Tax Day (I don't know if we want to celebrate that), Earth Day, Picnic Day, Telephone Day, Arbor Day, Superhero Day, and International Dance Day.
So you'll see some of those we've woven into the events. Some of you love to piggyback off the creative holidays, but sometimes it just doesn't work on that day so we’ve made them to where you can do them at any point in April.
CONCLUSION:
We want to thank you for being part of our community and watching or listening to The Multifamily Mix.
