3 WAYS TO SELL YOUR APARTMENTS USING LOCATION
1. Highlight a local business in an Instagram post and mention your proximity to them
How often? At least twice a month. Keep it front of mind for your prospects by selecting a business to feature at least a couple of times a month.
Why do it? By tagging a local business in your Instagram post they may share your post/story with their following, getting more eyes on YOUR community. Since like attracts like, select surrounding businesses that will attract residents that will love your community. Side benefit: You also provide your residents with valuable information about the neighborhood (huge retention win).
2. Do a “Follow Friday” where you round up your favorite local businesses nearby
Support local businesses, while also drawing attention to the fact that your apartments are surrounded by awesome businesses. Take a few minutes on Friday to share some IG handles of your favorite nearby businesses. Are you in a take-out hot spot? Blast it!
3. Create a neighborhood hotspot handout to share
Put together a list to share with your followers and residents each month (or quarter) to help feature small businesses. Reach out to the businesses in your community to see if they are doing something special (like an event or discount) that you can promote for them.
Take it to the next level and see if they will promote your apartments to their followers in exchange for you promoting their business to your residents. This is the digital version of grassroots & cross-promotional marketing.
